Trailers of the Week: The Zone of Interest, The Curse, More

Check out my last trailers of the week to read a little bit about why I like to pull my favorite trailers together. In short, sometimes, I find myself equally enthralled by the trailers as I am by the actual show or movie they tease.

Here is this week’s roundup, enjoy!

American Fiction

The concept of this is great. It looks hilarious, but also a look at the monetization of black culture in the modern day. Jeffrey Wright is perfect for this role.

The Curse

Looks so weird, but Fielder + Safdie + Stone seems like it = brilliance. I trust this duo to put something fascinating and hilarious on the screen. It also looks like it could be a bit dark.

Bad Behaviour

I’m a big fan of Ben Wishaw. Another strange one. Seems like I have a particular style I’m into and it is weird. But this one, as it says in the trailer, looks, “Delightfully off kilter”.

The Zone of Interest

Looks absolutely terrifying. The trailer is so effective without giving away a shred of what happens. I can’t even guess what it is about based on the trailer, but I can get the feel of the vibes. It looks like a tough watch, but a push-the-boundaries type of film.

Eileen

This looks interesting. My mother-in-law will love this one (lol). It is based off of a book and the book-readers in the comments are saying it’s looking promising.
